About Machine Gun Maths
Machine Gun Maths is a times-tables race for children and the families who cheer them on. A signed-in family can save official results for the players in that household. Those results stay private. Family Champions ranks them for that family only.
R199 once-off · 12 months of access · The whole family. One payment. Unlimited family players. No automatic renewals. No further commitments. Creating a family account registers the household. It does not take payment or start the access period. Unlimited family players means the players in that one household.
How scoring works
Your score rewards accuracy and speed.
An official score is 10,000 × accuracy × (0.75 + 0.25 × speed factor), rounded to the nearest whole number and kept between 0 and 10,000. Your score rewards accuracy and speed.
Accuracy is correct answers divided by every question in the race. Wrong, skipped and unanswered questions all lower that share. The speed factor is the race benchmark in seconds, divided by the benchmark plus the elapsed seconds. A faster finish raises the speed factor and earns more of the speed weight, but only in proportion to accuracy.
Accuracy multiplies the whole bracket. A race with no correct answers scores 0 however fast it was. The result is not a separate accuracy share added to a separate speed share.
On the 5 KM, 64 correct out of 71 (90.14%) in 03:15 scores 7,887.
Family Champions keeps one personal best per player on each race. Rows follow this score. If scores match, the higher number correct comes first, then the shorter time, then the earlier finish. Accuracy or time alone does not set the rank.
An early finish can be a personal best on this private family board, and it is labelled. Early finishes do not qualify for future prizes. Family Champions does not decide prize winners.
Older race format results stay in history. They are not eligible for current Family Champions rankings.
